Your Mission:
We’re looking for a driven Account Executive to own growth in the SMB and mid-market segments. These companies make up the backbone of the workforce yet are often underserved by enterprise-grade recruitment solutions. Your mission is to change that. You’ll run the full sales cycle from outreach to close - helping HR and operations leaders adopt Ribbon as their go-to hiring platform.
What You’ll Do:
1. Drive Growth in SMB & Mid-Market
Own the full sales cycle for SMB and mid-market accounts (50 - 5,000 employees).
Prospect, qualify, demo, and close deals across manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and restaurant verticals.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and channel/partner collaboration.
2. Sell with Impact
Quickly understand each customer’s hiring challenges - high applicant volume, limited recruiter bandwidth, and pressure to do more with less.
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of high-volume hiring industries (i.e., manufacturing, retail, hospitality) to better anticipate customer needs and tailor solutions.
Position Ribbon as the fastest way to cut time-to-hire, reduce costs, and improve candidate quality at scale.
Lead tailored demos and proposals that prove value in terms that matter to SMB and mid-market operators: speed, efficiency, and bottom-line results.
3. Build Lasting Customer Relationships
Ensure a seamless handoff to our customer success team for onboarding and retention.
Partner with internal teams to identify upsell opportunities and customer expansion.
Gather feedback from prospects and customers to influence product and GTM strategy.
4. Contribute to the Playbook
Help develop repeatable processes for prospecting, qualification, and deal closing in the SMB/mid-market segment.
Share learnings with the broader team to accelerate growth.
Who You Are:
Sales Builder: 3–5+ years of full-cycle sales experience in SaaS or HR tech, ideally closing deals in the SMB or mid-market space.
Quota Crusher: Consistently exceed targets with a track record of $800K-$1M+ annual quota attainment.
Hunter Mentality: Skilled in outbound prospecting and building pipeline from scratch and comfortable using tools like Apollo, Clay, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Closer: Strong demo, negotiation, and closing skills with multiple stakeholders.
Curious & Consultative: Adept at uncovering customer pain points and tailoring solutions.
Startup Mindset: Thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy environment where playbooks are still being written.
Tech-Savvy: Familiar with AI tools, CRM (i.e. Attio), and sales automation tools (Reply and Apollo).
