We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB.
We’re looking for a highly organized Project Manager to plan, execute, and successful delivery of key projects in our new facility in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role will involve working closely with engineering, production, and senior leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain master production schedule for daily and monthly production.
- Plan, prepare, issue, distribute and control schedules (pre-production schedule, production schedule, , crane schedule, installation schedule).
- Coordinate for equipment and material requirement to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials. Issue work orders and place material orders as required.
- Manage the day-to-day workflow for all passes of each project and ensure communication with client and all departments involved so that deadlines are maintained.
- Coordinate activities across departments, functions, and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution of the schedule.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress and any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Provide solutions to planned scheduling conflicts immediately.
- Ensure scheduling deadlines are met.
- Track production efficiency metrics (e.g. cost, time, resources utilization) and prepare efficiency reports.
- Perform ongoing analysis of weekly, monthly, and future capacity to optimize efficiency and productivities and achieve manufacturing continuity during low and high-volume months.
- Identify and implement planning system and process improvements.
- Continuously improve forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects.
- Collaborate with departments involved and lead necessary meetings if the plan must be changed.
- Participate in business planning meetings to plan out activities in future time periods.
- Obtain necessary permit documents required for projects
- Negotiate and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organization skills
- A positive “can-do” attitude and motivation to solve complex challenges
