Promise Robotics is looking for a Offsite Construction Manager to join our high preforming, collaborative team in Nisku, AB!
As a member of the Production Department, this role is responsible for the supervision, coordination and effective scheduling of workers to meet production and construction targets as well as quality standards. You will coordinate, supervise, and follow manufacturing and construction processes to meet targets set by the Production Director. Through the effective management of targets, goals and production efficiencies, this person will ensure smooth production and construction flow.

What you'll do:
- Schedule daily production tasks, supervise and coordinate production employees to meet production targets and quality standards in a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Production Technicians to ensure effective production scheduling.
- Provide daily reports on production performance. Approving and reporting work time, including employees’ absences, vacation time and overtime.
- Estimate the material and consumables required for upcoming projects, checking the inventory, and placing order for required material
- Conduct daily production meetings to review production metrics, production demands, safety concerns and address problems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of client products including models, model options, lots, standard specifications, and builder warranty programs.
- Drive operational metrics of the construction team, identify variance, present recommendations, and implement corrective actions to achieve business operational goals.
- Visit job sites prior to installation for site readiness and variations.
- Coordinate onsite installation with subcontractors and ensure the installation dates are met as per schedule.
- Conduct inspections and review buildings after installation to monitor compliance with client specification, building and safety codes and other regulations.
- Ensure all quality standards set by the Company are maintained throughout the construction process.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any construction issues.
- Foster and develop collaboration between crews to ensure an integrated approach to operations and fulfill the department’s goals and objectives.
- Track all aspects of construction: including performance of trades, workplace health and safety issues, scopes of work, construction schedules, quality, and maintenance of codes/regulations.
- Manage construction budget by monitoring; identify variances; implement corrective actions; provide non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
- Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance
- Provide a high standard of customer services (both external and internal) for the company, through proper and timely communication, effective quality control, timeliness in construction completion and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Uphold Company policies and all other labour and OHS legislation.
- Act as the subject matter expert in all construction related issues.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
What you'll need to succeed:
- 7+ years of experience leading and managing a team in the manufacturing or construction industry
- Understanding of residential construction industry
- Familiarity with offsite construction and prefabrication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience overseeing subcontractors and trades on site
- Proficiency in office software and equipment, including MS Office Suite.
- Organized with high attention to detail to be able to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
