Our first clinical AI application is a clinical deterioration predictor which accurately predicts unexpected deterioration of patients. It has been proven to reduce hospital mortality rates and is transforming how care is delivered at our partner hospital.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Application Engineering Team. You will:

• Build web applications around our ML models - from an internal monitoring tool tracking model performance to hospital-facing user interfaces impacting clinical decisions.
• Be part of architectural discussions and product design sessions.
• Promote best engineering practices and maintain a core library that supports model development.
• Collaborate closely with a world-class team of machine learning scientists.
• Work with platform engineers to design and deploy secure web applications on a real-time cloud environment.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience in frontend web development, preferably with TypeScript and React/Redux.
• Experience in backend development, preferably with Java/Kotlin and Spring Framework.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals such as: system design, data structures, object-oriented programming and functional programming and concurrent/parallel programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in PostgreSQL, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Passion in delivering great user experience and data visualization.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Passionate about creating new products while managing ambiguity in fast-paced development cycles.
