Role Overview
Orbital is looking for a Product leader to take full ownership of our Direct-to-Chip cooling portfolio - from setting the strategic roadmap and managing revenue and budget alongside the C-suite, to translating complex customer needs into precise technical requirements across thermal performance, coolant specs and rack integration. You'll sit at the intersection of Engineering and customer insight, acting as the go-to technical expert on sales proposals and RFPs while driving cross-functional teams - internal and external - to deliver products that meet the highest compliance and safety standards in the data centre industry. It's a rare opportunity to shape an entire product line end-to-end in one of the most critical and fast-growing segments of modern infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and own the product strategy and roadmap for Orbital’s entire Direct-to-Chip product offering
Revenue and budget management, including responsibility for growth, budget and cost management in partnership with C-suite
Act as the primary voice of the customer, translating customer needs and market trends into actionable technical requirements (e.g. thermal performance, coolant specs, manifold design and rack integration).
Work with engineering teams to define technical requirements (thermal performance, coolant specs, rack integration) and ensure engineering execution meets them.
Support business development and sales as the key technical product expert, assisting with customer proposals, RFPs and solution design.
Cross-functional leadership, stakeholder and project management of our direct to chip product suite including both internal and external partners
Ensure our direct to chip products meet rigorous compliance, safety and quality standards for the data center industry.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in hardware product development in relevant domain
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid technological change
Excellent at stakeholder management and influencing internal and external partners
Experience with product development for complex hardware systems
Familiar with manufacturing readiness, supplier management, quality systems, test & validation processes.
