Job Description

The Head of People will be a hands-on HR professional, who will execute and develop day-to-day operations associated with HR practices and processes across all functional areas including recruiting, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and internal communications. This person will be responsible for developing the HR infrastructure that supports organizational growth.

This role is based out of our New York City office in Soho, and reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing the Benefit Program & Strategy; designing a competitive program for employees
  • Constructing the Compensation Philosophy and administration associated with compensation, equity, and 401K plans
  • Develop and implement a recruiting strategy, which supports the organization’s growth.
  • Build out and hire the HR function to support the organization.
  • Develop key recruiting metrics
  • Develop and execute strategic headcount planning initiatives to align workforce growth with business goals, ensuring optimal staffing levels across all departments through data-driven analysis and forecasting.
  • Manage all immigration issues (visa and green card sponsorship, visa requests, etc.)
  • Partnering with the executive team to maintain and support the culture through company growth
  • Ongoing organizational and space planning as we scale
  • Partnering with the organization to build a Performance management process/program
  • Ongoing coaching and counsel to managers related to employee concerns, company programs, development, etc.
  • Manage employee relations and investigations within the organization
  • Provide employees and managers with advice and counsel on employee relations issues
  • Partnering with the executive team and managers on organization design and development
  • Driving the employee orientation and management training programs
  • Develop and manage with the executive team processes to promote internal employee communication
  • Ensure the company is aligned with employment and compliance to regulatory concerns

Who You Are

  • 10+ years as an HR professional in technology and 3+ years of people management experience
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as the primary HR point-of-contact within a high-growth company or business unit, preferably in the technology industry
  • 2-4 years of experience in a startup environment, or fast growing company.
  • Strong working knowledge of all HR functional areas including recruiting, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
  • Detail and action-oriented individual with a passion for implementation.
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-energy environment.
  • Previous experience working with executives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience building out centralized programs and delivering training to organizations.
  • Domain knowledge in the key areas of human resources: Benefits, Organization Design, HRIS, Compensation, Rewards and Retention

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $190,000 and $240,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, daily catered lunch, and unlimited PTO.
