About the Role
We’re seeking a Director of Solutions Consulting to lead and scale our delivery practice at a critical stage of growth. This is a player-coach role: you will personally lead Firsthand’s most complex, high-stakes Brand Agent engagements while building the operational standards, frameworks, and team capabilities required to scale the function.
You will manage a team of Solutions Consultants and own the planning, performance, and evolution of the group against key company priorities. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role sits at the intersection of delivery excellence, product intelligence, and commercial architecture, and serves as a key leader within the broader go-to-market organization.
What You'll Do
Lead the team as a player-coach
Personally lead solution design for the most complex, strategic, and first-of-kind engagements, including new solution types, agentic experiences, and high-visibility client relationships.
Set the standard for solution design, agent configuration, content architecture, and delivery operations across all Firsthand offerings.
Codify solution design frameworks, scoping methodologies, and quality benchmarks that make strong execution repeatable across the portfolio.
Define and evolve the Firsthand solutions portfolio
Own the definition and evolution of Firsthand’s active solution types, including how each is configured, delivered, governed operationally, and matched to client and channel use cases.
Lead development of new solution patterns, such as emerging agentic experience formats, vertical applications, and publisher integrations.
Partner with Product to translate platform capabilities into scalable solution patterns, and with GTM Operations to ensure solutions are properly packaged, scoped, and priced before launch.
Create the documentation, case studies, and delivery frameworks that enable the team to replicate success without reinventing the approach for each engagement.
Operate as a cross-functional leader
Serve as the voice of field solutioning in product discussions by surfacing delivery learnings, identifying capability gaps, and informing roadmap priorities through hands-on expertise.
Partner with GTM Operations to align commercial frameworks, including rate cards, scoping assumptions, and packaging, with delivery realities across the solution portfolio.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex or strategically important client issues, especially ASE engagements and multi-publisher programmatic campaigns.
Partner with Sales and Revenue leadership to drive larger deals, faster sales cycles, and stronger renewals through delivery excellence and strategic guidance.
Who You Are
12+ years of experience in ad tech, martech, solutions consulting, or a related field, including 4-6 years in a senior leadership role focused on solution design or technical consulting.
A systems thinker who designs in repeatable solution patterns, not one-off executions, and can distinguish what makes a complex deployment scalable.
Deeply fluent in the advertising technology ecosystem and the operational mechanics behind media, digital experience, and advertising solutions.
An experienced leader of small, high-performing technical teams who thrives in a player-coach model.
Equally comfortable in rigorous product discussions with engineering and commercial discussions with clients.
Effective in ambiguous, pioneering environments where you must define the answer, operationalize it, and enable others to execute it.
Precise and disciplined in written and verbal communication, from solution designs and scoping frameworks to client communications and operational playbooks.
Energized by building what a modern, AI-native solutions practice should look like in close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
Bonus Experience
Hands-on experience with AI-powered content or advertising experiences, agent configuration, or conversational product design
Hands-on familiarity with publisher tech stacks, ad-servers, RSS/content ingestion, and site integration patterns
Familiarity with advertiser tech stacks, data managements solutions, and measurement solutions
Experience standing up or formalizing a new operational sub-specialization within a broader delivery function

Compensation Range: $225K - $240K
