About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Contract Recruiter to own niche technical hiring for Crusoe's Spark business. This is a specialist search role covering hard-to-fill manufacturing and engineering positions such as Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain, along with adjacent technical roles as the business scales.
These are thin, competitive talent markets. Success in this role depends far more on market mapping, research, and persistent outreach than on working an inbound pipeline. You should be comfortable learning unfamiliar technical domains quickly, holding a credible conversation about what a candidate actually builds, and telling a hiring manager honestly when the profile they want does not exist at the volume or price they expect.
This role is built for a highly autonomous recruiter who can run complex, high-bar searches end-to-end, manage senior stakeholders, and operate as a true talent partner rather than a coordinator. You will inherit an active requisition load and be expected to move quickly while holding a high quality bar.
This is a six month contract with potential to extend based on business need.
What You'll Be Working On:
Own full-cycle recruiting for niche technical requisitions across manufacturing, engineering, and operations functions supporting Spark
Build pipeline from scratch through market mapping, competitor and adjacent-industry research, and sustained passive outreach
Run intake sessions that pressure-test the role definition, must-have skills, and realistic candidate profile before a search kicks off
Screen for genuine technical depth, translating engineering and manufacturing backgrounds into a clear read on fit for the hiring manager
Educate hiring managers on market size, realistic timelines, and comp expectations for scarce profiles, and reset the search when the data says to
Structure interview processes and role-appropriate technical assessments in partnership with hiring managers
Conduct candidate interviews, provide timely updates, and lead compensation negotiations
Manage a high-complexity req load independently with minimal oversight
Keep pipeline data, notes, and status current in the ATS so leadership can see progress without asking
What You'll Bring to the Team:
5+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience with a meaningful focus on niche engineering, manufacturing, or hardware roles
Demonstrated success filling searches where the qualified population is small and largely passive
Strong research and market-mapping skills, including passive outreach via LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
Ability to learn technical domains quickly and hold credible conversations with engineers about their work
Comfort recruiting for on-site and facility-based roles, including markets outside major metros
Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders, including director-level and above hiring managers
Experience recruiting in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Skilled in salary and equity negotiation
Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed hiring goals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
Data-driven, with the ability to use recruiting metrics and market trends to guide hiring strategy
Experience maintaining detailed documentation in an ATS
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the hourly range of $50.00 - $60.00. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
