When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About This Role:
Crusoe is building the world’s favorite AI-first cloud infrastructure, powered by clean and renewable energy. We are seeking a Real Estate Strategy Manager to join our real estate team. In this leadership-track role, you will be involved in the end-to-end acquisition - development lifecycle for large-scale data center projects. You won't just analyze feasibility; you will architect the strategy for site selection, capitalization, and global expansion. This role acts as a bridge between finance, engineering, and external municipalities to ensure Crusoe’s physical footprint scales ahead of the AI demand curve.
Location: In-office 5 days per week in our San Francisco, CA, office.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Strategic Site Acquisition: Lead the identification and de-risking of high-scale data center sites, overseeing the evaluation of power capacity, fiber latency, and complex environmental/geotechnical constraints.
Capital & Financial Architecture: Oversee the development of sophisticated financial models for infrastructure-heavy assets. You will design capitalization strategies that leverage conventional project finance alongside innovative alternative sources.
Investment Committee Leadership: Present complex acquisition opportunities and return scenarios to senior leadership and the Board, providing data-driven recommendations on land value and infrastructure recovery.
Entitlement & Stakeholder Management: Act as a point of contact for city officials, utilities, and community stakeholders, navigating the high-stakes zoning and permitting processes required for global expansion.
Vendor & Execution Oversight: Manage RFP for consultants, ensuring technical specifications meet our "AI-first" infrastructure standards.
Market Intelligence: Drive the team’s understanding of macroeconomic trends, specifically power market volatility, to pivot development strategies in real-time.
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with Energy and Cloud teams to ensure real estate assets are optimized for maximum "electron-to-token" efficiency.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in real estate development, infrastructure investment, or project finance (ideally with a focus on industrial or digital infrastructure).
Strategic Modeling: Expert-level financial modeling skills with the ability to structure complex deals and explain the "why" behind the numbers to executive stakeholders.
Execution Track Record: Proven experience navigating the entitlement and permitting process for large-scale, complex land use projects.
Leadership & Influence: A natural ability to lead cross-functional pods and influence external partners to move at "Crusoe speed."
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or Master’s in Real Estate Development (MRED) is highly preferred.
Technical Tools: Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in GIS and project management software.
Bonus Points
Direct experience in Data Center development or large-scale Power/Utility infrastructure.
